The Sala Jamboree is the Barcelona temple of jazz par excellence, where great legends and young promises of jazz have played. Figures like Bill Coleman, Kenny Drew, Chet Baker, Ponny Poindexter, Art Farmer, Lou Bennet, Stéphan Grappelli, Kenny Clarke, Cecil Taylor, Elvin Jones, Steve Grossman and Al FosGordon have all been on stage.
All styles are represented, from vanguard to Dixieland passing through bop, fusion, vocal jazz, mainstream, nu-jazz, tango-jazz, flamenco jazz and Latin jazz, without forgetting other Afroamerican styles such as blues and gospel.
This venue is a cultural benchmark of Barcelona, which won the Gold Medal of the city. -

Created in 2003, Loop is a platform that focuses on the possibilities and challenges presented by video art, one of the key artistic movements of modern times. Each year, Loop hosts professionals and the public for a gathering where they can explore the latest technological and other developments in the moving image sector and see the work of new and established creatives who use video as their main tool.
Loop Festival runs for around 10 days and includes screenings, exhibitions, concerts, talks and other live events at numerous venues around the city. -
Within the documentary world, documentaries about music have a category all of their own. The In-Edit Festival has become a benchmark event in this category. Coordinated and held in Barcelona, it also touches down in Madrid, Chile, Brazil, Netherlands and Greece.
Since 2020, you can download a selection of musical documentaries from the online platform In-Edit TV and enjoy them at your leisure from any mobile device, and see live streaming events that will be held during the festival. -
Festival de Jazz de Barcelona 2025
The Barcelona Jazz Festival, Now in its 57th year, has become one of the world's leading jazz festivals as a result of its carefully curated roster of talents and an attractive line-up that is always full of new initiatives. This year, it will be bringing more than 50 concerts and activities, including master classes, talks and meetings with the performers, so you can enjoy the finest in jazz and great music.
This year's venues, the Palau de la Música Catalana, L'Auditori, the Sala Paral·lel 62 and La Paloma, will be bringing you performers of the calibre of Laurie Anderson, Andrea Motis and the Barcelona Jazz Orchestra. It will also include the flamenco festival, De Cajón!, Miguel Poveda, Tomatito and José Mercé. -
MIRA 2025 Digital Arts Festival Fira de Barcelona
The Barcelona Digital Arts Festival is celebrating its 14th edition, with a larger capacity thanks to its new location at the Fira de Barcelona [Barcelona Trade Fair]. Audio-visual shows, live bands, large-format art installations, 360º projections, digital art gallery and DJ sessions will take place over two days. This year, the musical programme includes Blawan, Erika de Cassier, Flying Lotus, John Maus and many more.

Barcelona has its own Christmas festival that brings culture to the city during the festive season.
The Barcelona Christmas Festival will transform Plaça Catalunya into the epicentre of the performing arts between 20 and 30 December, with a programme that includes music, theatre, dance and circus. There will be 25 shows, 14 of which are premieres in the city, with a wide variety of proposals ranging from small pieces of visual theatre to a travelling show that will tour the different districts of the city. In the afternoons, dance and circus merge into a unique offer, while in the evenings, music will take centre stage with a varied selection of artists. A unique event for the whole family to enjoy, with performances by renowned Catalan and international companies. -
For 26 years now, the Festival del Mil·lenni has been coming to the city and it never disappoints. From October to May, concerts are held throughout the city in various halls, auditoriums and even iconic venues like the Santa Maria del Mar church, all under the Mil·lenni Festival brand. The genres are diverse and varied, but all the concerts share a common denominator: the quality and relevance of the performances. This year the Festival features big international names such as Joan as a Police Woman, Tindersticks, Anastacia and Jay-Jay Johanson, as well as a selection of major national artists such as Joan Dausà, Gipsy Kings, Carlos Núñez, Ginebras and Maika Makovski. The aim: to once again highlight the value of live music and the emotion that stems from direct contact with the audience.
